Who I Am I Must Become (East Coast)
How do we live from our creative depth?
How do we forge a true connection to Something Greater and to other people?
How do we experience balance and purpose in the midst of turmoil?
How do we discern courage and enthusiasm in the face of fear and inertia?
How do we become a conscious agent of change in our world?
This nine-day experiential seminar will provide an imaginative path to access the wisdom, creativity, and power we hold at our core. Our work will be the quest to know ourselves more fully by using Jungian psychology as it interfaces with the teachings of Jesus along with western spiritual and contemplative traditions. Please join us at this beautiful wooded retreat where we will:
• Investigate the wisdom in the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth as recorded in the gospels of Mark, Matthew, Luke, and Thomas. These stories and teachings, interpreted for centuries in traditional ways, will be freshly explored as mirrors that can help us examine the rich facets, both dark and light, of our own personalities.
• Use Carl Jung’s depth psychology, which respects the archetypal processes of the unconscious, to help us understand the texts and our experience.
• Take advantage of meditation, silence, music, art materials, breath awareness and body movement to deepen the exploration of ourselves.
• Live in the tension of open-ended questions with no attempt to reach agreement or any single right answer.
