Nourishing The Soul XIV

Monday, March 30 (dinner) through Thursday, April 2, 2009 (lunch)

Hamlet, the Greatest Play

"Sure he that made us with such large discourse,
Looking before and after, gave us not
That capability and godlike reason
To fust in us unused."

We live in the outward world of history; we live in the inward world of our brooding selves. Nowhere is this split examined more carefully and poetically than in "Hamlet". This Nourishing the Soul XIV will explore the nature of consciousness and the world using the mirror of this incredible work. We'll have the chance to write poems, listen to music, look at art, try our own hand at paint and brush (or paper and glue, or fingers and clay). We will enjoy using the "large discourse" given us in many ways.

Leaders: Maureen McCarthy Draper, Nils Peterson, Sue Renfrew,
Location: Bishop's Ranch, Healdsburg, CA (wheelchair accessible)
Fee: $440 plus $50 non-refundable registration fee
