Living Your Questions: A year's end seminar

Be patient with all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.
- Rainer Maria Rilke

Monday, December 29, 2008 at 7PM, through Thursday lunch, January 1, 2009

As we approach the end of 2008, each of us may find that questions we have struggled with this year, and perhaps for many years, remain unsolved. We may feel anxious, sad, discouraged, bewildered, or even devastated by these persistent issues. In spite of all our efforts, some inner questions of the heart remain constant companions.

At this seminar, with music, poetry, art, movement, the Gospel of Thomas, and silence as our supports, we will listen for Soul's desire, and see how to live our questions into the new year. We will practice patience with those questions that cannot yet be lived. With this opportunity of the threshold of the new year, we will create a space to become conscious in a new way of our issues and our lives.
