Casting Seeds: a class for Personal Transformation and Guild LeadershipFor those whom Soul is calling, inviting, or even impelling towards deeper involvement in Guild leadership, this course offers training in the leadership of seminars. We will enter into the psychological study of sacred texts, myth, Jesus' life and teachings, literature, science, and contemporary images and phenomena, integrated with the art of formulating questions, and using the Guild method. Through teaching and practice we will learn to lead seminars that respond to the needs of this time and our world. But before our work can transform others, each of us must hear Psyche's particular voice and commit to our own transformation. This requires that we bring our psychological consciousness to the fore, so that we can learn to lead with authority and respond to the Self in others. The course is therefore focused first and foremost on the personal transformation of the would-be leader. He/she must know whereof they lead. Training sessions take place once a month, starting September, 2008. Enrollment is by permission of the instructors. Because the Guild Study Center is committed to supporting affordable leadership training, it will be subsidizing 50% of the actual costs of this course. For the 2008/09 class, the student cost will be $240 tuition + $30 registration, for a total of $270. Scholarships are available if needed. |
